Privacy: we do not store medical records
We do not store medical data. We only retain personal details such as your name, insurance information, and address — data your physician needs to provide care, but not clinical medical content. Diagnoses, treatment details, certificates, and prescriptions are shared solely during the live consultation through a secure, encrypted channel between doctor and patient. As a platform, we cannot access this information and do not store it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Consultation fees are transparently displayed before booking and set individually by each physician. The price includes your video consultation, any necessary prescriptions, and sick notes if required — with no hidden fees.
Yes. We are GDPR compliant and video consultations are encrypted in transit. Account and booking data are processed securely. We do not store a medical patient chart on the platform — clinical documentation is your treating physician’s responsibility.
Yes. Telemediker operates across Europe; billing depends on the treatment country and your physician. Private patients usually receive an invoice for reimbursement; services may be billed using the German GOÄ fee schedule where agreed. Physicians can also bill German statutory health insurance (GKV) if they hold a contract with a Kassenärztliche Vereinigung (KV — regional association of statutory health insurance physicians). We continue to expand direct billing with insurers.
After your consultation, your physician submits the e-prescription electronically to the Telematikinfrastruktur (TI) where applicable, or provides it as a PDF during the video call — it is not stored in your Telemediker account. Pharmacy redemption follows applicable regulations.
If a physical examination is medically necessary, your physician will guide you and arrange a referral to a trusted local specialist or hospital to ensure you receive the appropriate in-person care.
